Teachers have easy access to tools such as FirstClass to check email on InterAct as well as Pathlore to sign up for classes designed to further improve your skills as a teacher and possibly give you PDE credits.

Roald Dahl - Greetings to you, the lucky finder of this golden website about one of the greatest authors of children's books. Be sure to check the Tips for Teachers on how to use Roald Dahl's work in the classroom.

 

Rosetta Stone - Immerse yourself in language with Rosetta Stone. You'll require an account with a user ID and password to access this site.

 

Science

Mars Exploration Rover Mission - NASA's site for exploring Mars.

 

Quest: NASA K-12 Internet Initiative - Contains schedule of events - online chats with astronauts, space scientists, shuttle team, etc.

 

The Buzbee Bat House Temperature Plot is a weird name for a wonderful site which links to every other site in the world known to contain information about bats.

 

FOSS Web - This is the official website for the inquiry-based FOSS science curriulum. Teacher support, supplemental materials and activities can be found at this website.

Social Studies

Social Studies - This is a link to Kids.gov and a list of Social Studies websites - plenty of items!

 

Math

Math.com - The world of math...online!

 

Ask Dr. Math - For both teachers and students, it contains an extensive archive of information.

 

The Math Forum Teachers Place - This site has some excellent information for teachers and is wonderfully organized too!

 

Mathfax - Flashcards of 138 basic facts to memorize to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

 

Professional

FirstClass - Set up FirstClass at home and check you email on InterAct.

 

Pathlore - Search and sign-up for professional development classes provided through Clark County School District. Use your InterAct user ID and password to login into the Pathlore system.

 

IDMS - This is a teacher tool to track assessments given to students.

 

Sub Services Online - Find a sub fast! This website provides internet access to the substitute personnel assignment system. Create or Edit a work absence using this website. NOTE: Use Internet Explorer for this website / to request substitutes.
